Kids love films and with the rise of the internet it’s pretty much everywhere in some way, shape or form.
As well as a lot of fun, filmmaking requires a lot of key skills such as:
Planning & Organisation.
I run a series of after school clubs pupils from KS2 and above
in the Gloucestershire, Cotswolds and North Bristol areas.
During the club children will explore a variety of different film styles and platforms including
‘Hollywood’ feature films, TV programs, News Shows & Advertising.
They will think about how and why films are made, creative skills in writing and visual arts
as well as learning all about the basic equipment and how to manage a film production with their friends!
When & Where?
After school clubs are run from your school premises.
The specifics will be tailored to your needs but most commonly
the club will run for an hour and a half after the end of the school day.
Clubs normally last between 6 and 8 weeks to fit with the schools terms,
however this can be shorter or longer if required.
Clubs normally run once a week.
Normally it works out around £4.50 per child, per session.
Again, it is based on where your school is but normally a
minimum of 8 children is needed to run the club.
I can take a maximum of 15 in one club, however for schools with a high demand for places,
it is sometimes possible to run 2 seperate days in a week with 2 groups.
I offer a free taster session for each interested school.
This normally lasts between 45 minutes and an hour during school times.
I will talk to the kids about the club and projects they would take part in
as well as a movie quiz.
This will allow children & parents to get some information and decide if they’d like to take part. Please check the FAQ page for more information
